Chung Cheuk Ka is studying Timpani and Orchestral Percussion (Western Percussion) in the
Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Chung is now having further studies with Mr. James
Boznos, the timpani principal and Miss Sophia Woo Shuk Fai, the percussionist in Hong Kong
Philharmonic Orchestra. Chung has achieved outstanding academic results and was included
in the Dean’s List in the previous academic year.

For music education, Chung has brought a student to do an ATCL Percussion Exam and got
into the final audition for Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts in 2024.  Moreover, Chung has taught in Hong Kong Red Cross Margaret Trench School in MayJuly 2022 and is currently teaching in Po Leung Kuk Mrs. Ma Kam Ming Cheung Fook Sien
College and Shau Kei Wan Government Secondary School.
For achievements and performances attained, Chung achieved distinction in LTCL
percussion exam and was approved in ALCM piano exam. To add on, Chung joined as a
percussionist following Hong Kong Festival Wind Orchestra in 2024 Chiayi City International
Band Festival in 2024 December, a timpanist and percussionist for Berlin Opera Academy in
2024 July and was the soloist of Concertino for Xylophone and Orchestra in Concert Band
Concert on 30th April 2024. Last but not the least, Chung was invited as a guest percussionist
for a Gamelan Concert and Symphony Orchestra Annual Gala Concert in 2022 May and July
respectively as well as an honors project performance held in 2023 April in The Hong Kong
Baptist University of Hong Kong
