小山惠理子Rieko Koyama 個人簡介:
Rieko Koyama is a percussionist for the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. Growing up in Nara, Japan, she started her musical training at a young age with rudimental drumming for marching bands and bloomed more with classical percussion playing while studying at Indiana University at Bloomington and New England Conservatory where her teachers included Frank Epstein, Anthony Cirone and Gerald Carlyss. After finishing her studies, she played timpani and percussion at the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra with Yutaka Sado as the artistic director and has performed under Ricardo Muti and Marin Alsop’s batons at Pacific Music Festival and Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music in Santa Cruz, California.
Rieko enjoys performing chamber and modern music with mixed instruments and percussion. She has collaborated with strings and piano at the Good Music This Lunch series with Hong Kong Sinfonietta and will continue to explore new chamber music in the coming year.
