Jovi Lo is a young percussionist who grew up in Hong Kong. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music with first class honors from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and continued his education at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he earned a Master of Performance Degree in Orchestral Artistry (Timpani and Percussion) with Distinction. His instructors included Henry Baldwin, David Corkhill, Kevin Hathway, Nigel Thomas, and Sophia Woo.

While studying at the Guildhall School, Jovi had the honor of performing Darius Milhaud’s Percussion Concerto at LSO St. Luke’s. He also frequently served as the Principal Percussionist and Timpanist for the Guildhall Symphony Orchestra, engaging in a wide variety of orchestral repertoire. He frequently receives invitations to collaborate with different orchestras, with his recent performances including the Asian Modern Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera Hong Kong Orchestra, and City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong.
