Michelle is a graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, where she received her Bachelor of Music in Percussion with the Governor's Award under the
tutelage of Ian Wright (former Timpanist of the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra), Paul Patrick (Principal percussionist of the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra), Elizabeth Gilliver and David Hassel. After returning to Hong Kong in 2008, she dedicated herself in teaching and had a keen interest in working with young children. Michelle further her studies at the Hong Kong Baptist University, where she was awarded Master of Arts in Music (Music for Young Children) with distinction. She was also the recipient of the Scholastic Award 2011.
Michelle is experienced in teaching students in different ages and levels. She is currently an instructor at various schools. She had conducted educational projects and percussion workshops at kindergartens, schools and charitable organizations. In the process of nurturing her own son, Michelle has acquired a deep understanding about child development and how to mature children’s potential and musicality.
